  • Avatar hmmmmmmm 12:43, 02 May 2011 Hi,
What always works with kids of that age group is if you can get the teachers to do something funny (PE teacher doing and Irish jig and having a load of male teachers dress up and dance to single ladies were favourites at my school). If this is the first time the school has done this then mention that there will be a 'special performance' from ... (teachers name/s/ department/s e.g. Mr S or The Science Dep. Make sure you put up posters in all the local schools and try to get a teacher/ department from each school to do a routine/ routines at the end (no prizes but just for fun).
The teacher part will get less musical pupils to go and see the show and hopefully get in to it and in to music and maybe even perform next year.
However I am not sure how easy it would be to do this if the venue was not a school etc.
