We've just held the third speed dating and disco evening which was the most successful so far! I think we've managed to improve on some of the issues from the previous events.
This time we had 31 speed daters - this time lots more girls for the speed dating which was great! - and many more for the disco! There were many matches after the event too!

2nd event - 21st February 2008 (Social Activities for People with Learning Disabilities)
Well the second event was a great success! It got off to a shakey start as there were a few people turning up who hadn't reserved tickets and there were more people wanteing to speed date than was originally planned. Preparations for the next event (Social Activities for People with Learning Disabilities)
Preparations are underway for the next event. Tickets have been printed and more publicity is the top priority. We have secured a community radio slot to mention the event and flyers are being passed out by Friends Action North East at their up coming events. 1st event 6th December 2007 (Social Activities for People with Learning Disabilities)
The first speed dating event was a great success!! Volunteers helped to decorate the Venue with tables, tablecloths, tealights, fairylights and the like from 5pm. Guests started arriving at 7 and filled in their contact details before taking a seat or heading for the bar.
