Spot the masterpiece

Why care

The Royal College of Art's annual RCA Secret show opened to the public today but only until the 24th November. Why so short? Well, the exhibition - now in its fourteenth year - terminates in a sale offering the public the chance to purchase any of the pieces displayed for a mere £40. The catch is that of the 2,500 artworks featured in the exhibition some will be the work of professional artists, designers and illustrators, whilst others are donated by up-and-coming graduates from the Royal College of Art, and it's a closely guarded secret which is which. Each artist's signature is placed on the back of the postcard and is only revealed after purchase.

Previous sales have included postcards by David Hockney, Damien Hirst, Sir Peter Blake, David Bailey, Tracey Emin, Paula Rego and Sir Paul McCartney to name just a few.

The story

Do you have a keen eye or impeccable taste? Do you know a masterpiece when you see it? You might take home an original Hockney, Emin or a young art student's piece. My advice...just pick something you like!
