What it's all about

I have been involved in a one-off fairtrade event, which was run by Junction49. I would like to run a similiar project, which is aimed at a larger group of people. I thought about doing a one-off event in the Brent Cross Shopping centre in order to make more people aware of fairtrade products.

What's needed to make it a reality

I need volunteers, who are going to help me at the event. I need promotional material, such as chocolate etc. and leaflets that explain fairtrade's mission.

Because you are a student at Middlesex you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. Middlesex is one of 15 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from your Junction49 staff member (Helen who commented above) to help you get your project up and running.

    Good luck!

  • Avatar Richard Hazlett 12:54, 07 October 2008 Sounds excellent, I would love to help you get this idea off the ground. If you wanted we might also be able to organise a stall in the quadrangle or in the students union bar for you to promote Fair Trade!
