Things I love about Nottingham
Nottingham Friends of Iraqi People
I remember finding out about these people and they are awe inspiring. Along with Muslim Hands (another amazing Nottingham charity) and local churches they were raising money to help people in Iraq and campaigning against the war. I spoke to one of the Lay preachers who visited Baghdad at the beginning of the war and being amazed by the things he saw: the decadent palace taken over by the army... <read more>

Coming home
I grew up in Nottingham so when the time came to go to uni I was more excited about living away from home than studying! I moved to Birmingham to do Media (ironically when I started we were told how lucky we were to at the 3rd best media course in the country with Nottingham Trent University being the best! - whoops)
