What it's all about

The De-Montfort Street Law Society are currently developing a new presentation on children's rights which is due to be performed at local Junior Schools in the Leicester area. Our aim for these presentations is to inform children of their human rights which will aid our law students in their studies by applying what they have learned on a practical level. Whilst also giving the children valuable knowledge that will benefit them throughout their school years and beyond.

What's needed to make it a reality

Funds from De-Monfort University would greatly help to kick start our presentation in that funds would allow us to buy the relevant books on childrens rights, which would be of great help to the current street law team but also future teams. The funds would also help us to provide a more visual learning experience for the children, in that it would enable us to buy props and art equipment to help bring out the childrens creative sides whilst also teaching them important issues along side this.
