What it's all about

The idea is to give teenage bands a place to perform and be heard. This is why i thought a battle of the bands idea would work really well. These events would be aimed at 13-18 year olds as not only will we need teenage bands but also a teenage audience. I would plan to have them monthly and depending on the success possibly even fortnightly. I would aim to get Wirral high schools involved with facilitating practices and advertisement.
The reason why I have thought of this as an idea is because I love music and I am passionate about giving teenagers a chance to do something positive and have fun with it.

What's needed to make it a reality

I would need a venue, money, volunteers and general support. Short and sweet.

LJMU is one of 15 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from your Junction49 staff member (Lucy who commented above) to help you get your project up and running.

I've helped organise battle of the bands events before - it's great fun! Hope it all goes well
