What it's all about

I am a Fashion Student in Liverpool who dreams that one day this industry will stop the exploitation of people around the world. It makes no sense to me that we cannot utilise our obsession with clothing to employ and honour traditions and skills that have been in existance for generations.

My idea is to run silk screen t-shirt printing classes, particularly with children but perhaps extending this to adults later. The classes would use only fairtrade t-shirts made in unionised factories (made by No Sweat in Palestine), along with the fun of printing the t-shirts information would be given about the conditions in many clothing factories in developing parts of the world, making young people more aware of the effects of their consumption and that change in the future is possible.

What's needed to make it a reality

I need quite a lot of things really.

People who would want to help me to run the classes

Money to buy the t-shirts and dyes

A space to hold the classes

Any ideas, suggestions and hopefully support.
