Cheers for posting your idea - Junction49 is here to support you turn your idea into reality!

Do you say you want to host it near Northumbria university because you're a student there? You've not registered with Junction49 to say you are but if you are then since it's one of the unis Junction49's working with in partnership you can apply for up to £750 funding to run your project. Contact your volunteer support officer (Samantha)for access to funding, training and support.

If you're not a student there then that's fine - we can support you anyway! Let us know and we will produce a tailored action plan for you...and you can win funding too...

Here are a couple of things to think about:
    - Have there been any similar projects in the past in or near the area you're thinking of? If so you could contact them to find out if they have any advice or contacts for you.
    - How will you recruit the young people to take part? For example, consider the age range you're aiming this at.
    - Do you have a time scale you'd like to complete the project within? Just in case you have a deadline to get this off the ground!

Welcome to Junction49...I hope you find all the support you need here!

    Cheers,

    Zoë

  • Avatar Kitty 15:02, 11 February 2008 Hi Mark!

This is a great idea! I am actually running a Graffiti project like this in Swindon.

I am having trouble at the moment trying to find a public wall to do the final piece on due to the clamp-down on graffiti in Swindon, however, I have applied to the local council and am currently waiting to here back from them. Fingers crossed they will find me a great spot!

For funding for this event, e.g. masks and paint, you could apply to the 'v' cashpoint fund. You can find out more information about this at www.vinspired.com/vbuzz/campaigns/171.

    Good luck with it!

    Kitty x
