What it's all about

I am a second year Business student and as part of a group project, am required to host an event. We have decided to host something that would benefit the community and thought it would be a good idea to arrange a ballroom dancing event for some local residential homes.

The main aims of our project are as follows:
• To bring together and create relationships between at least three care homes.
• To provide a new and enjoyable experience that could be repeated in the future.
• To increase interaction between the University of Bath and the local community.
• To fully utilise all the university has to offer including resources, societies and support networks.

The event is currently scheduled to take place in mid-March in the Claverton rooms at the University of Bath. We aim to use the Latin & Ballroom dancing society to help teach the residents, as well as providing refreshments and entertainment from the Babarshop.

What's needed to make it a reality

We would like the university to help out with the funding of the event, since without any funds the event cannot go ahead. We are also making the most of the societies that the university has, including the Latin & Ballroom Dancing society and the Barbarshop.
