What it's all about

From my personal experience after living in hostels, there was many people left with nothing motivational to do during the days. I want to provide an activity for people to gain new skills, meet new people, learn responsibility and gain confidence outside their comfort zone.
The activity will be horse riding; I want to take 12 disadvantaged young people to Stepney Bank Stables. I would need at least 12 volunteers to buddy up with the young people and develop a mentor relationship.

    Since you're at Northumbria Uni and it's one of the unis Junction49's working with in partnership you can apply for up to £750 funding to run your project. Contact your volunteer support officer (Samantha)for access to funding, training and support. She'll be in touch with you soon to discuss your idea further!
