Get your work in an exhibition for World Co-operative DayPrizemoney for young people and their schools.
The 'Spirit of -Co-operation Art Competition'; part of a wider celebration of all things co-operative, culminating in an exciting family event at the prestigious Lowry theatre in Salford on 8th July 2007 - World Co-operative Day.
Attractions will include activities for children and young people, a fairtrade and co-operative market, live music, sports events and live theatre.
The art competition is a major part of the day and is open to all schoolchildren aged between 5 and 19 in two age categories 5-11 and 12-19. It aims to give young people the chance to explore the meaning of co-operation through the creation of a piece of art on the theme of The spirit of co-operation.
The winning entry from each age group will be awarded £500 for the school and £50 for the child. The second prize entry will receive £250 for the school and £25 for the child. The winning entry from each age group will be included in publicity materials in over 1000 United Co-operative outlets.
