What it's all about
well, basically i came up with the idea of creating an event (probably at exhibition park) which has a kind of hip hop theme to it (but it could really be any theme), where basically, there will be music playing on one side, DJ-ing on another side, some sort of art (probably graffiti-style writing), and finally, there will be some break dancing going on. and ideally, people who visit should be able to take part in any of these activities to learn new skills, gain experience, etc.
the reason for this idea is because i have actually been to music festivals known as the "mela" for the past few years and i have actually done a DJ-ing workshop with the BBC Blast team and i really enjoyed it and i would like to do it again, and just because i liked it so much, i know that others will also like it as much as i did, if not more and it will be a really fun day.....
by doing this activity, i hope it will allow people to try something new, allow people to meet others, allow people to have a good time and possibly give away some freebies so that they can remember the event.....
What's needed to make it a reality
the BBC blast team could do the DJ workshop, i know there were organizations who came to freshers week to put up a stall (for things like graffiti writing, break dancing, etc)
