Why it was needed

The Great Generation has places available for the London Triathlon taking place on 9th & 10th August 2008.

There is a minimum sponsorship of £500 and raising this amount will go towards developing projects for the benefit of AIDS orphans in Africa, offering them a sustainable solution in their daily struggle to put food on the table for themselves and their families. The money will also go towards developing a project working with street children in India, providing them with invaluable job and business skill training to secure a brighter future.

Alternatively use the money you raise towards the costs of taking part in a 2 week project; giving you the chance to see your donation in action. The total cost of taking part in a project is £1,000 (including flights, accommodation, food and local transport).

What's being done

We take volunteers to the hearts of communities and working alongside local people, develop sustainable solutions to the issues surrounding poverty which these people face day-to-day.

How it started

The Great Generation was set up to maintain the momentum and spirit of giving following the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean on 26 December 2004.
