What's needed to make it a reality

We are a group of mixed media artists, graphic arts, visual arts, photography and DJ’s.

We came to a collaborative decision on creating artwork that is about world issues, representation, politics, and subliminal, advertising, consumerism. We wanted to create an event exhibition/party at a venue combining art and music together to focus on these issues. Bringing people from everywhere to become involved in our project/ community, students, anybody.

desire that everybody recognises.

The venue where we held the hunger event was in Shoreditch east London, called the NO ID gallery. The event took place on the 5th & 6th of may. There was a nice mix of different visual mediums to help our work appeal to a wide variety of people. We had a projector up with visuals, a dj playing music, photography and graphic art works on display, there was food and drinks and we feel the event was a success. We entertained a good number of people, not only our invitees, but also the general public viewed the event too. There was a real mixed bag of different people who were able to discuss the artwork and current issues with many interesting topics raised.

With the help of Junction 49 we were able to fund our project appropriately and create an environment that enabled people to eat, drink, and enjoy a relaxed artistic atmosphere. The event was a complete success; we are now waiting in great anticipation to holding our next event.
Joey at junction 49 helped me realise my project potential. She helped my plan my project she provide us with funding to provide the space hire and equipment and materials needed to make the event possible. Without this help our project could not take place.
I have gained in confidence and learnt a lot about organisng projects, I would defiantly readily recommend junction 49 to anyone that has a challenging project that they are thinking about to approach junction 49 just as I have, because they will help you to further and progress your ideas.
