Statement

TimeBank is committed to protecting the welfare of children and young people under 18 whilst using the internet.  The safety and welfare of all our users is of paramount importance to us.

In order to allow the communication and ideas on this site to flow freely and not to stifle interactivity we do not moderate user content prior to users publishing it on the site, however our helpdesk team is constantly supporting the community by answering posts and queries on the site. If any of our helpdesk staff come across content, or content is reported to them by other junction49 users, which they deem is inappropriate we will remove it and take any other appropriate action as deemed necessary.

If Junction49 users are concerned about any content or posting they can quickly report this content to the helpdesk using the report abuse link found on every page.

Safety

• Don’t give out your address, mobile phone no or passwords to people online.
• Meeting someone you have contacted online can be dangerous.  If you are meeting up with an individual or group for the purposes of setting up a project follow these simple guidelines to keep you safe
• Don’t go alone, if you are under 18 get your parent or guardian to come with you the first time, otherwise go along with a friend or group of friends
• Always arrange to meet in a public place where you can be seen and obtain help if necessary
• Beware accepting e-mails or opening files from people you don't know or trust as they may contain viruses or nasty messages.
• Information you find on the Internet may not be reliable, remember people may not be who they say they are
• Tell your parent or other responsible person if someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or worried.
• If you come across posted content on this site that you feel is inappropriate or offensive please report it to us either using the report it links on the site or via email using reportabuse@junction49.co.uk

 

Community etiquette

This is intended as user friendly guide to staying cool and respectful whilst on this site, don’t forget to also read our much more dreary terms and conditions which cover in more detail the legal issues around copyright law and inappropriate material.

• Don’t upload anything that isn’t owned or written by you unless you have permission to do so.
  Including photographs, video or other media that you've collected from around the Internet.
• Be responsible about the content you post
  If you would hesitate to show your content to a child, your mum, or Uncle Bob,then don’t upload it
• Don’t show nudity in your profile picture or any posted media.
  If we find out you have done this, we’ll remove it and send you a warning. If we find you doing it again, we’ll terminate your account.
• Don’t upload content that is illegal or prohibited.
  If we find you doing that, your account will be deleted and we'll take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities.
• Don’t vent your frustrations, rant, or bore the brains out of other members.
  Junction49 is not a venue for you to harass, abuse, impersonate, or intimidate others. If we receive a valid complaint about your conduct, we’ll send you a warning or terminate your account.
• Don’t be creepy.
