What it's all about
Kids Kabin is a centre for kids in a certain area of Newcastle upon Tyne to go and hang out and get involved in activities. It would be really good if I could set up a project that would allow these kids to get involved in some community volunteering themselves and also carry out some projects with them.
What's needed to make it a reality
We will need equipment for arts and craft based projects but also, more importantly, money for travelling to the area of the community that we would like to help.

It sounds like you've identified a need withing the community! Providing young people with arts and craft activities will not only keep them out of trouble but through interaction will help them develop better social skills and promote well being through expression!
As you know, Northumbria is one of 15 Universities taking part in Junction 49's Uni project. This means that you are entitled to support and training from me as well as a grant of up to £750.
