What it's all about

1st of December, namely World AIDS Day is coming up, and this event will help increase awareness, along with help fundraising for Health Unlimited (the organisation we are from). We will be selling striking red ribbons, and irresistible Krispy Kreme.

Why red ribbons? To promote World AIDS Day, and by wearing red ribbons with pride, each of the participant can raise awareness, as HIV is still a mojor issue worldwide.

Why Krispy Kreme? To fundraise..and honestly, everybody loves Krispy Kreme !!!

What's needed to make it a reality

Everything else is running smoothly, except fundings for the events because we are unable to find sponsors ,especially on flyers and posters to put up, and the cost of getting Krispy Kreme, ribbons, miscellaneous things like tissue papers, garbage bags.

  • Avatar Nadia Cole 13:32, 12 November 2007 This is an innovative way to raise the awareness of UCL students about the important work that Health Unlimited is doing and provides a fundraising opportunity at the same time for UCL students to support the World Aids Organization. I'll email you to see if there is any additional support I may be able to offer you. Junction49 is a new student-led volunteering initiative that is being piloted by UCL Union's Voluntary Services Unit (as well as at 14 other Unis across the country) and offers students studying at UCL support, training and access to funding of up to £750 for projects that have a local community benefit.
    Good luck,
