What it's all about
I would like to suggest that my university proposes a mass pillow fight, whereby everybody who joins pays a pound for children's organisation within Bristol. I think it should occur roughly around Easter before exams as a means to relaese tension and just generally have fun. Students should come in their pigiams and a pillow if possible. Thos who do pay 80p wheras those who don't pay a pound instead I also think that it would be nice if hot chocolate was provided for all participants. Students who cannot bring their pillow from the student campus can borrow some.
What's needed to make it a reality
Publicity
Pillows for those students who can not bring their own.
Thats really all I can think of for now.

Sounds a really fun idea!
Thanks for posting up your idea! I think it has the potential to be a really fun event! What you need to do now is decide what day you want to hold it - presumably a week day? The middle of the week is probably best. If we pick a date then we can find out where we can hold the pillow fight. You also need to look into costs - find out where you can get some cheap foam pillows from and decide how many you need. If you want to provide hot chocolate, we could either see if we could get the bars to donate some, or cost up how much you would need to buy, based on how many participants you hope to get! Your last cost is going to be publicity, do you want to make posters....promote through email and internet? We could put together an ad for the Western Eye.
Do you want any other students to help you run this?
Drop back in and we can talk about it some more, or send me an email!
I was thinking about pillows for the event. I think you should get some help to plan how you might run an organised pillow fight. This would cut down on the amount of pillows we would need to buy, and we could have a league table, and make it more of a spectator sport!
Also we need to think about getting your poster printed, so perhaps you could drop in with the finalised design - you showed me some sketches, they were great! I think it would also be really cool if you could talk to the Western Eye about the event. You can email westerneye.socs@gmail.com, I think we should have a chat with them together to get a promo put in the paper!
It would be good to catch, up, drop in when you can!
