What it's all about

I would like to explore the consumer's attitude about their privacy matters, how they feel divulging their personal information. I was inspired by this idea while i read about Relationship Marketing and observe the loyalty cards, such as TESCO, Boots etc. I would like to achieve how consumers privacy and their persoanl data is kept confidential and consumers feel confident while providing their personal information to the companies they get involved.

What's needed to make it a reality

This idea needs some support in the form of guidance from some good marketing teachers. I am thinking to design a questionnaire to see how consumers feel about their data and how they want companies to treat their personal information. I may also have a focused group interview to verify the results from the questionnaire. Of course some financial support is required to undertake this project which will be beneficial for individuals as well as companies.

    I think this subject is one which would be really interesting to explore - people often give out details without thinking and never knowing how it will be used.
