What it's all about

We are four students studying Active Citizenship at UCLan. As part of our module on Community Safety we are required to make young people aware of issues affecting them.

These include:
• Teenage Pregnancy
• Drugs / Alcohol
• Gang Culture
• Sexually transmitted diseases

We plan to organise an action packed day, making 30 kids aware of these issues by means of presentations, workshops, and group-work. We plan to do this with kids at Marden Heights Community College (high school - Burnley).

A disco at the end of the day will be great to round-off the full day.

We will need money for promotion of the project, volunteer expenses/travel and food for the disco.

What's needed to make it a reality

Finance, help / support with organising and delivering the project
