What it's all about

The Students Union have a lot of donated greetings cards, mainly Valentines Day and Mothers Day. As both these days are coming up I would like to sell these cards on campus to raise money for Christian Aid. The charity helps disadvantaged people in third world countries, especially providing emergency aid in the event of environmental crises. This will be one-off project to raise money for this charity.

What's needed to make it a reality

The cards have already been donated so all I need is a space to sell them on campus. i am looking into booking a stall at the campus reception.

Because you are a student at Kingston University you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. Kingston University is one of 15 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from your Junction49 staff member (Celina) to help you get your project up and running. She'll be in touch with you soon to start helping you develop your project.

Thank you for coming in last week and discussing your idea. The card sale is a great way to raise some money for Christian Aid. We are just waiiting to hear back from the University about booking a stall in reception now. Hopefully this sale can go ahead later this week.

Well done on your sale! It was a great way to raise money for a worthwhile charity and goes to show what you can acheive in just one day of volunteering!

I had a look at the Christian Aid website and the amount you raised will pay for a teachers salary for a month in India and 2 mosquito nets to protect people from malaria :-)

Hopefullly, you can get involved with more volunteeering throughout the rest of the year!
