What it's all about
this would be a great and easy way to raise money for charity- all thats needed is 'free hugs' t shirts which could be printed cheaply and big signs and banners- and obviously students who stand in the city centre of bristol offering free hugs for charity! great way to spread some love, raise money and easy and fun to do!
has been done in the past (there's always a guy in bath doing it but I think he just wants the hugs!) if you look on google images and there's a website- www.freehugs.org.uk
What's needed to make it a reality
just some money to make banners/posters and tshirt (though every student could buy or make their own) and help with advertising to get as many students and people involved as possible! maybe get the newspaper involved!!

Because you are a student at UWE you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. UWE is one of 15 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from your Junction49 staff member (Jo) to help you get your project up and running.
it could be a one off or a series of events, main point is just to raise as much money as poss!
we could properly advertse it- posters, leaflets, flyers, website etc.. ?
