What it's all about
The aim is to give 25 young people aged 13-16 the opportunities to learn new skills and create an environment from where cohesion can take place.
I plan to do this by setting up an table tennis club, which will take place two hours a week after school. This project will run at Marsden Heights Community College, April 2008 and it will be an ongoing project.
The reason for developing this project is due to Table Tennis not being seen as a major sport and due to to its nature it would provide the opportunity for young people to interact with each other.
The project will involve young people from a diverse range of backgrounds cultural cohesion, understanding each other and creating friendships.
Copies of attendance sheets and photographs of the project will be available to Junction49.
