What it's all about

We will run a residential programme at Coldwell activity centre between May 08 and July 08 if the funding application is successful.

Learning outcome of the resi's:
• To build positive relationships with staff and their peers
• To enable young people to develop Socially and emotionally by creating a safe learning environment
• To address issues of under-achievement, challenging behaviour, and encourage positive participation in college life and their community.
• Create awareness of personal safety at college and in their community

A weekend residential programme to be run at Coldwell activity centre to address issues outlined above.

We would like to apply for £750.00 from J49 and the rest of the cost will be covered through a contribution from the young people.

Break down of costs

20 young people @ £27.00 per head including breakfast and evening meal.

= £1080 total cost excluding lunch
- £750 Timebank fund
= £330 young peoples contribution, with lunch provided £20 per person

The year head will be consulted to select the young people.

    As you are a student at the University of Central Lancashire you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. As you know UCLan is one of 15 universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from me (your Junction49 staff member) to help you get your project up and running.
