What it's all about

We want to take a group of children aged 7-14 from Durham and the surrounding area, referred to us by Social Services, on a One Off Activity Trip in June. Through this we aim to help these children experience positive social interaction with their peers while enjoying new experiences, ultimately reinforcing positive approaches to working with others in the community and in later life. For many of the children this trip would represent their only opportunity to enjoy such activities, due to the various backgrounds from which the children come. The Project will also offer students first hand responsibilities in volunteering with children; in a well structured, supportive environment. Through this day trip we hope to encourage our volunteers to consider further projects available in the area.

What's needed to make it a reality

We need money to help fund transport, food and activities for this One Off Project.
