What it's all about
As a retired music teacher, I have organised many bands, choirs and other music groups in the course of my career which began some thirty years ago. I was thinking there must be many talented musicians out there who would like to to take part in music to entertain those in hospital, old folks' homes etc.
We could do anything from a traditional choir to a rock band, a string quartet to a boy or girl group. . . . . . . or one of each. . . . . .
What's needed to make it a reality
I just need names of people interested in the above who live within reach of Kingskerswell, Newton Abbot, Devon

Nice idea Junction49 is all about getting young people's ideas turned into reality...so perhaps you could involve young musicians aged 16-25...and even get them to help out with the organisation, choice of locations to play, recruitment of other musicians etc...
Bear in mind that when working with young people you'll need to have a current CRB check - sure you know that from when you were a teacher!
Do you know of any local music groups for young people? If so you could contact them to see if anyone wants to get involved... for example how about Devon Music Centres...an organisation like this might even want to work with you directly on a project like this!
