What it's all about

Well i and my wife are planing to organise a charity where by we can meet the education standerd most african countries are lacking,my wife has got some skills related to education,i myself has got this idea of stage drama and entertainments, not forgeting the our decoration skills too.i and my wife got this inspiration as my wife on her own have tour to feww african countries and was amazed by the hard way africans find education imposible to achieve,so we had like to achieve and provid a standerd education for the lease previllaged youths and teenegers in africa and we will like to travell more to some other parts of africa for inspections regarding to this issue, and this well bring more smile and awareness to the children in african as i originally come from africa but married to a british.

What's needed to make it a reality

all we needed to get start is books, pencils, uniforms and transports for a start and then will be able to look indept for other logistics.

Thanks for submitting your idea on Junction49 - it sounds like you want to achieve something really valuable, as with education and opportunities, people can achieve anything!

One of our partners Read, work in Tanzania, collecting old text books from primary schools in the UK (ensuring they fit the Tanzania curriculum) and then sending them out. This charity was set-up a few years ago by a student studying at Nottingham University, so shows that a good idea matched with perseverance works. You can see a film about read here http://www.readinternational.org.uk/bookprojects/.

How are you planning to get the equipment required? Are you planning to visit potential schools that need help soon?

The Charity Commission has a guide to registering charities; you can find this by clicking here http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/registration/think.asp.

Keep us updated on your progress and get in touch if we can help you out with anything else.
