What it's all about

I am an emerging artist with contemporary vision and a student of MBA at University of Derby. Starting my career as hobbyist painter, I painted on a variety of different subjects before finally moving into Human Rights, War and Starvation.

I have always tried to show mirror to the arrogant powers in the world with the strokes of my brush.

My upcoming exhibition is being held on
4 October 2008 4-6 at the
Multi Faith Centre Derby University Keddleston RD Derby DE22 1GB

What's needed to make it a reality

I need help with marketing my event to engage as many diverse groups as possible from students through to community groups. I also need support with installation of the exhibition and venue hire.

I want to invite a guest speaker i.e local MP to open the exhibition and provide a small buffet and drinks for attendees.

As you are aware, at Derby University you have access to a Junction49 staff member who can provide you with one to one advice and funding of up to £750! Email this address to find out more junction49@udsu.co.uk .

The venue you have arranged should provide you with a good start in attracting diverse groups of society as different users of the facility can be the first you advertise to. Get in touch with some of Derby Student Union societies for example their Amnesty group and organisations related to schools such as Art, Social Science, Politics and Law.

Try contacting a guest that can open the event with relevance – a culture and arts spokesperson would be good.

Could always change your Junction49 picture to one of your pieces to give everyone a preview?!

Best of luck with the exhibition

    Victoria
