Creating social networks around common interests with live people. I think that all new social networks around the internet are creating the great anti-social movements in history. People are spending more and more time in front of their computer pretending to be socializing with others.
This is crazy! I want to meet people that like things that I like and talk about with a cup of coffee, tea, beer or what ever you want or allowed to drink.

i dissagree - the social networks that im invovled with on the internet hold regular meet ups and events off the internet - social networks are ideal for getting people out of the house as they give them a reason to - a simple method to meet up with people who share their interests.
its a lot easier to organise these interest groups on the internet where there is unlimited space for it - how would you propose we organise a physical social network - it would have to fit into everyones schedule perfectly and there would have to be space enough to fit everyone in.
if your worried about people spending too much time on the internet then create a social networking site devoted to people going out and doing something, or you could promote one already in circulation, for example Meetup.com.
