What it's all about

Give it a Go Day is on Tuesday the 23rd of September at Kingston University Students' Union. To give you an idea of the range of ideas Junction49 volunteers could come up with, we are holding a build a bird box taster session.

After 'Give it a go' day we will looking to hold an event putting the boxes up in Kingston University campus. All bird boxes have been sourced from sustainable forest stocks and have been supplied by Surrey Wildlife Trust, so if you want to have some fun and do something good for the environment on the 23rd, come and give it a go.

The bird boxes sound like a great way to get students involved and interested in Junction49 at Kingston.

Bristol UWE had similar idea post on Junction49 and one of the pointers we gave them was to check that you have the relevant permission for where you place the bird boxes.

Am sure you can think of some imaginative ways to pitch this to your students but sounds like a good taster session and a way to break the ice and get to know the people that want to get involved with volunteering this year.

Let us know how it goes!
