From my experience, students are really keen to recycle.
However you need to consider that many students do not have their own transport whilst at University and so they may not be able to take their recycling to a centre themselves.
Contact student unions to understand the ways in which they currently encourage recycling. Freshers Fairs are a good time to spread the word about such issues and tell people about your maps.
You could also consider including local council recycling collection rotas and information about how electrical and larger waste items can be disposed of.
Let us know if you might need any funding to get your idea off the ground as you could get some help through our quarterly winfunding scheme – visit http://www.junction49.co.uk/pages/win_funding/ to find out more. The next closing date for applications is the end of October.
