What it's all about

Here at Kingston University Students' Union we are running a 'Highlight Your Issue' awareness event on March 5th and 6th 2009. We will be running a reproducable art exhibition at all 4 campuses of the university aswell as an 'issues wall' that will be turned into a fantastic visual arts display by students literally highlighting an issue they care about. We will also be exhibiting some examples of past campaigns run both by the union and through Junction49 and giving students the opportunity to find out how they can run their own campaigns in the future.

What's needed to make it a reality

We will need Kingston university student leaders to form an exhibition working group. These people will provide the artistic material and then organise the exhibition of photographs and art works that represent the change they want to see in the world. We will also need a student or group of students to plan and run the 'issues wall' display, particularly the video section. Finally, we will need volunteers to get engaged, come along and see the exhibition and to highlight an issue they care about.

Advice on this is welcome from anyone, particularly people who have run a large exhibition before, or managed student working groups. Because of the size of this project I am running it in conjunction with our VP communications sabb, Mark.
