What it's all about
I would like to run a one off event at a local school, in order to show younger students (11-13 year olds) the basics of playing guitar. I am aiming to generate some interest amongst these students, and if this is successful, move on to a longer term project, such as six weeks of sessions.
If the project is a success, I would like the kids to either write a song, play a small gig or concert, or ideally both!!
What's needed to make it a reality
In order to start the ball rolling on this ambitious project, I will require contacts with local schools. I will be working with Martin (the VSO) in order gain these links.
I will also require equipment in order to make this project a success - particularly guitars!
I have previous experience teaching the guitar to students of all ages (8-40), but some media would be useful to have (CD's, books etc.)

Seriously though, now we've put together an action plan I can see this idea working really well. We'll also start looking at a more detailed budget after you fix your guitar.
