What it's all about

The aim of this event is to introduce students to volunteering and to make a small gift for an elderly person. We will be getting students to plant a bulb in a small pot which will be given to an elderly person from the Third Age Project on Wednesday, 29th October (the day after they have been planted). We will be setting up a table in the North Cloisters,Wilkins Building, and outside the Print Room Café in the Quad where students who are walking past can quickly plant a bulb and find out about the VSU and Junction49 programme. We would like to promote volunteering and the giving aspect of the activity. The planting day will be Tuesday, 28th October from 12:00-3:00pm.

What's needed to make it a reality

As many UCL students as possible to come along on Tuesday 28th October 12-3pm to the North Cloisters or the Quad outside the Print Room Cafe to plant a bulb and learn how branching out into volunteering can be fun, easy and rewarding.
Also want some volunteers for Wednesday 29th October 2.30-4pm to go the Third Age project locally to give bulbs in pots to the elderly people and have tea with them.
