What it's all about

We would like to raise awareness of world AIDS day and sexual health to a wider community through campaigning on campus.

The aim is to achieve wider awareness of the issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and STIs

What's needed to make it a reality

Resources from organisations such as the Terrence Higgins Trust: such as red ribbons to sell

Venue for daytime campaign and evening event

Getting people involved in organising the event - other students and youth groups and people to campaign on the day

This a is a fantastic idea and Joyce in Northumbria is also putting on something similar for World AIDS Day so it might be worth checking her idea page out and maybe even getting in contact to see if you can share some advice or if you have any handy tips for one another.

Her idea page can be found through this link:

As you are a student at UWE you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. UWE is one of 12 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from your Junction49 staff member (Helen) to help you get your project up and running. You can take a look at your university page here: http://www.junction49.co.uk/university/13/university_of_west_of_england_-_bristol
