What it's all about

finding unwanted bikes recyling them ,fixing them, after fixing the and some of them are sold some are given to charities the aim is to give to people who are going to use them and also incourage social inclusion and cooperation through working in groups or as a team.

What's needed to make it a reality

people to help find bikes , people to help paint tyhe bikes, a space to work and the materials

the project can be excecuted in a school or a youth center.

    Maybe you could get in contact with your local council to see if there is a way of working with them to set up your own project and they may be able to provide you with the links to get the unwanted bicycles you need.

    Junction49 is where young people can develop their own ideas for positive change in the community and students who wish to develop a voluntary project to benefit the community can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. UEL is one of 12 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where students can access funding, training and support from your Volunteer Support Officer (Joey) to help you get your project up and running.
