1) What was your project about?
Initially, my project was setting a business as a young entrepreneur, which is part of our creative course. However, there was a conflict between the contents and objective. Our objective is to promote sustainability by a continuing swapping events. So finally, our project became a social event instead of business practice.
2) How do you think it made a difference to the community or wider world?
It contributed a lot to our environment. Through swapping, the rejected clothes were adopted by other people. They are recycled. The clothes left were sent to the charity to raise the funding for certain social welfare. We tried to minimize the waste and persuade people being sustainable. On the other hand, we promoted the students' sustainble design on the event. With the attractive entertainment, we made the event more interesting. Sustainability is a world wide big issue. We promote it's core concept in a creative way.
3) What did you get out of/like about volunteering on this project?
I learned a lot through working with our team member and work with other teams, like Junction 49 and Sustainability Team which are professional teams in setting up this kind of events. Leveraging time and resources should be the key knowledge came out of the volunteering experience.
