What it's all about
The idea is to encourage young (16- 26) people from local area (Kingston, Surbiton, Twickenham, Richmond) to present their vision of the world using such a powerful tool as cinema! Participants will be invited to condense their point of view in no longer than 15 min of feature film, music video, animation or documentary. Simply send it to us and see your film at the general screening in June and win a prize to develop your skills further.

Thanks for posting your idea. I think it's great that you are encouraging your fellow students to be creative and encourage them to take action on an issue which they feel passionately about.
Have you heard about the Human Rights Film Watch that is currently premiering films across London? The festival runs from the 18-27th March, check out thttp://www.hrw.org/en/iff/london for info on films and screening details.

Get in contact with Martin (the Junction49 Volunteer Support Officer at Kingston) who can help you access upto £750 funding and provide you with support for running your very own film festival.
