What it's all about
Our principal aim is to raise awareness on the issue of teenage knife crimes committed in the Inner London area. Unlike the majority of anti-knife campaign groups we do not want to focus on the demonization of young people. Instead we want to move away from the repetitive facts and statistics and get their opinion on the current knife crime epidemic. We hope to give our target the opportunity to voice their concerns, feelings and thoughts and reinforce the idea that there are other opportunities out there for them.
We will be targeting areas such as North and East London, most specifically the Edmonton area. This is because in 2008 it became one of the top priority areas for the London Met regarding teenage knife violence.
We hope to create a friendly platform for the most susceptible young people to voice their perceptions and hopefully echo the idea that there is simply no POINT to carrying a blade.
