What it's all about
ZOMBIES OF THE WORLD UNITE!
Brothers, sisters, ghouls and corpses-
For too long we have been waiting, craving a new dawn for our peoples, a dawn of the dead. We have seen the world come so close to Nuclear Apocalypse, tasted its sweet possibility- only to be temporarily foiled by ‘CND’, ‘The Nuclear Proliferation Treaty’ and ‘International Law’. But now these buried policies are finding new life, or to be more precise- new tantalizing prospects of ending life. We call on the government to cease the marginalisation of the deceased, and expand its sterling work towards total planetary annihilation. This means increasing the paltry £2 Billion a year upkeep of current nuclear weapons, doubling the tiny £75 Billion ‘Trident Submarine’ plan and finally diverting much needed cash away from ridiculous fads like ‘hospitals’ and ‘schools’ as well as the conventional armed forces.
It definitely means hefty investment in Nuclear Power, with all its glorious pitfalls- radiation, meltdown, nuclear waste and terrorist attack are all the friend of zombies –plus where else are we going to get the uranium for our wonderful weapons? Its just simple economics!
For only £3 Billion you can sponsor you own Nuclear Power plant- and don’t worry about decommissioning or ‘extreme circumstances’, the government have kindly agreed to foot the bill with human taxes!
The best bit is that even loads environmentalists have seen the green side of nuclear power, despite the fact that it can only deliver a 4 % cut in emissions by 2025… It’s no solution to climate change, but it is a step forward for zombies everywhere.
Clearly our lobbying groups have been picking their BRAINS!
Now is the time for the undead to spring into life, to burst from our soily graves and call, groan, in unison ‘Apocalypse- NOW’.
We cannot let the winds of pain pass us by again, we need to show the world that Nuclear is forever undead!
Up and ATOM- Zombies for a Nuclear Apocalypse!
What's needed to make it a reality
Get out your best Zombie attire, run off a few leaflets, strap your tongue firmly into your cheek and hit the streets!
ZNA is all about exposing the unthinking, inhuman and immoral nature of nuclear weapons and power, which are effectively 'undead' in themselves, surviving the end of the cold war in huge numbers for no discernible reason. So we shall personify these dastardly devices, along with their ardent followers.
Make some videos, take some pictures (Zombies are very photogenic), bring out the Zombie supporters for pro-nuke speakers and MPs... document everything!
We could always use some sexy new graphics too, drawings, logos, websites etc...
Also- Educate yourself! Zombie films, comics, books and songs are everywhere... Get your Zombie Chic Style down, it's very important!
The issues are complicated too, so make sure you know your way around them for those rare moments of serious debate-

I hope you enjoyed Spring Awakening and found the Junction49 workshop useful. This is a really cool idea and a great way to attract attention to your campaign. People are bound to want to find out why you're dressed as zombies.
You've probable already taken a look at the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament website, but it's got some really interesting stuff, so well worth a look. There's also some good ideas which you could point people to doing in your leaflets, like signing a petition or writing letters to your local MP.

A great way to set up small groups around the country might be to get in contact with People and Planet, a student organisation. You may find some really passionate students who want to support your campaign and students love dressing up, so a zombie theme is bound to get them interested.

You never know there may be some Junction49ers who will want to support you too so remember to keep your idea updated. You can post diary entries to let everyone know how your campaign is coming along and if you've got any photos/videos then you can add them here too.

I was wondering how this project was going and whether you'd managed to get out there as a zombie?
