What it's all about

Doing a set of art projects for children from the Visually impaired, based on play and the creative process. These workshops would be to gather the visually impaired community to help to create a supportive network and friendships incorporate with the voluntary organisation DAB (derby association for the blind).

Great to see you adding another idea to Junction49 and another fabulous one at that. It sounds like this would be a great partnership for you to create between the university and DAB. Have you already approached them with your idea?

As you are already aware as you are a student at Derby University you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into reality up until 31st July 2009. Jo, your Volunteer Support Officer will be able to help you access all the funding, support and training that you will need. If your project is going to take place past 31st July then let the Junction49 Helpdesk know and we will support you to find alternative ways of funding your project and can support you to fill out the application and anything else you might need.

Just let us know how we can help and we'll be more than happy to :-)

Another great idea! As Sarah said, if it's something you are planning to start up soon, we may be able to access some funding to support you - it it's an idea for next year (ie September onwards) then still come and find me in the SU and I'll support you in making it a reality! The helpdesk at junction 49 will be available to assist also.
    Cheers for now, Jo
