To manage a group of 40 young people to participate in a community football league. At the end of the project individuals will be presented with awards of achievements and will be recognized for their involvement and commitment towards the success of the project.
The project will integrate and make links with people from other communities, faiths and races. The project will also create unity and confidence within these young people.

I'm Sarah from the Junction49 Helpdesk, here to help support you in turning your idea into reality. This sounds like an awesome project, not only are you providing the young people with an activity to get involved in in their free time, but also as a means to unite their community and create greater awareness of different cultures and religions.
Junction49 is where young people can develop their own ideas for positive change in the community and, before July 31st, students who wish to do so can access up to £750 to turn their idea into a reality. UCLan is one of 12 Universities who are taking part in the scheme where students can access funding, training and support from your Volunteer Support Officer (Sara) to help you get your project up and running. Good Luck and you'll have to let us know how it goes by posting up photos and writing entries in your diary.

I just found out about this amazing funding opportunity which might be worth applying for if you want to continue your project more long term. You can apply for between £500 and £5000 for your idea and I think you would have a really strong chance of being able to access the money.
The link to it is here:

The deadline is the 30th June, but it's definitely worth a shot and if you decide to apply and want some help filling out the form, just let me know or give me a call and I will more than happy to help.
