What it's all about
I would like to bridge the gap between Child and Adult services, for young people in Mental Health. This would stop young people who would normally access help through Children's Services but are about to be moved onto Adult Services, from falling through the gap, disappearing and ultimately being ignored by the system. I would also like to improve education for young people around mental health and create a one-stop shop website with education information, and links to the correct services for them in their area.
What's needed to make it a reality
I need help creating the website, gathering the research, putting together education tools and getting it out to young people. I also need help starting my campaign in terms of where to start with making it a reality, basically everything!

It was really nice to meet you on Saturday at 2morro (www.2morro.org) I hope you had a good day and enjoyed all the sessions. I remember you saying you had loads of ideas, so feel free to add as many as you like even if they're only in the early stages, we'd be happy to help in anyway we can.
The idea you've posted up here is certainly a hot topic at the moment, particularly with Junction49ers. Here are some similar ideas which have been added and it might be worth getting in contact with them to see if you could potentially work together as some of your goals seem really similar. In particular the creation of a website as a one-stop shop for young people. Amy Palmer wants to do something similar and you could always work together to create it if you think you have similar goals. If what you want to do is slightly different then not to worry at all.

A Junction49er who might be able to give you some advice about building a website is Adam Strawson. He's helped out some other Junction49ers so might be worth contacting, even if it's just to discuss what you could potentially do. http://www.junction49.co.uk/member/8748/adam_strawson/
I'll have a look into funding opportunities out there for you and get back to you with what I find (there is definitely the scope for funding)
Let me know what other support and advice you need, more than happy to help.

How is the project coming along, have you thought anymore about it?
I had a look for some funding and here are some potential things you could apply to:
• O2 It’s your Community http://www.itsyourcommunity.co.uk/Default.aspx
Awards of up to £1,000 are available to local groups and individuals for anything that can be shown to benefit your community.
• YouthBank http://www.youthbank.org.uk/
Only provide to local young people. If you go to the website and find out whether there is a YouthBank near you, you can then get in contact to find out about how you can apply for a grant.
• Vcashpoint http://www.vinspired.com/opportunities/vcashpoint/
Young people between 16-25 years old can apply for up to £2500 to set up a project which will make a difference in their communities.
If you decide you want to apply to any of these please let me know and I will more than happy to give you all the support/advice you need.

Heya,
On Friday 9th October it is World Mental Health Day and the Mental Health Foundation are encouraging people to organise their own 'Tea and Talk' fundraiser as recent research said that having a cup of tea is really good for your mental health and wellbeing. I just thought I'd let you know about the event in case you were interested at all and as you may know Junction49 has lots of teabags so if you were interested, I'm sure we could spare a few :-) You can read more about the day here:

I would be happy to do any research, I am interested in mental health issues with regard to eating disorders and body image. I have done work in this area previously,
and have some hands on experience. Would be happy to contribute to the website if needed.
Kindest Regards

I am also building a website and have found wix.com to be really useful with templates and other extras. It also takes you through creating the website in tutorials.
