  • Avatar Rachel 15:55, 30 July 2010 J49 Team Hi Georgina,

Thanks for coming to the session yesterda - it was great to see you guys come up with so many interesting ideas.

As you’re part of The Spark, you have access to a tailored training programme to help you develop your idea and all the skills you need to go out and make a difference in the community, whilst getting support along the way from The Spark team as well as an online mentor.

As you develop your idea, you can update your page here on Junction49. Using the tabs across the top of your idea, you can upload diary entries to let everyone know how you’re getting on and if you’ve got any photos or videos you’d like to add, we would love to see them.

You might want to start thinking about what exactly it is you want to do on your beautiful body day. I know that you were talking about doing a fashion show. Juliana, another Spark young person, is currently organizing a show around body image. Information about her idea is here: http://www.junction49.co.uk/idea/2480/rock_the_runway_project/ You could send her a message through Junction49 or leave a comment on her page if you wanted to ask her for any ideas or advice.

I hope that helps give you some more ideas. We'll see you next week to discuss your idea further, but thanks for all the enthusiasm so far...

    Rachel

  • Avatar Rachael Penzo 13:20, 31 July 2010 Hi Georgina,

I'm Rachael (not to be confused with the other Rachel who posted here!) and I'll be your Spark online mentor! I absolutely love the idea for your project, and positive body image has always been a big interest of mine. The Fashion Show sounds like a great oppurtunity to show people that no matter what you look like, we're all beautiful in our own way.

I'll be here to support you throughout the project, and please feel free to leave comments on anything you feel is relevant, your feelings, ideas, or queries, for example.

Looking forward to great things to come!
