What it's all about

The project aims to encourage young and old individuals/organisations to take up higher education as an avenue to a brighter future.

The project will aspire to engage the young and old from the Burnley community by marketing/promoting the possibilities of what higher education can offer in order to enhance career prospects.

The project will include specially arranged visits to the University of Central Lancashire to encourage wider participation from the community. The project will cater for 60 people in total, 30 young and 30 old over four visits.

What's needed to make it a reality

In order for the project to be successful £400 is needed.

Project cost includes:
* Promotion of visits (leaflets, presentations)
* Transport to the venue
* Basic administrative cost
* Refreshments to the visits
*Any other extra costs to undertake the project

If the grant funding is successful individuals/organisations will be able to experience the university environment and then decide whether to take up higher education opportunities, thus raising their potential for the future.

Hopefully you can consider our project.

Many thanks

    I think your project sounds brilliant!!

    As you are all students at the University of Central Lancashire you can access up to £750 to turn your idea into a reality. As you know UCLan is one of 15 universities who are taking part in the scheme where you can access funding, training and support from me (your Junction49 staff member) to help you get your project up and running.

    I'll be in touch soon to arrange a meeting with you so that we can discuss your idea further.

    Thanks

    Sara
