Hello!

I am the Volunteer Support Officer at UWE! I am based in the Sports and Activities Centre in the Students Union. Born and bred in Bristol I am familiar with the surrounding area and have been heavily involved in volunteering for the past few years. I have worked with both adults and children, in the local community and abroad. Some of the greatest people and experiences and the most fun I have had has been through volunteering! For the past three years I coordinated volunteers teaching English to refugees and asylum seekers which was lots of fun. Many of the volunteering opportunities became available to me while I was a student in Leeds and through the student union, so now is the time to get involved!!

I look forward to hearing students' ideas for volunteering projects and events and giving you support and guidance and advice when turning ideas into action. I can also give you access to training and funding, but most of all the aim is for projects to be student led!
