OUT is UWE's LGBTx, a social society for all those who are Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans gender or even indeed straight!

This society offers you the opportunity to meet like-minded people & to form friendships. We run numerous events throughout the year, which last year included The Multi Uni Brighton Pub Crawl which was a huge success, & a great opportunity to meet & connect with people across the UK. We also run smaller events such as trips to Cardiff & Manchester. We also love just going for coffee, theatre trips and other such things that are not "scene". We're all about having a laugh and making friends.

This year, we have changed the ethos of the LGBT Society, making it more about socialising and talking about important issues to L, G, B, T or x students. We're organising more campaigns and greater support for our society members. We want to be active and make some noise! We are looking at organising an awareness day for World Aids Day on the 1st December, bringing attention to sexual health, which is an issue that is brushed away in today's society.
