I’m Becki, I am 22 years old and I am your typical student really; I work hard and I party hard!!I’m in my second year at De Montfort University studying Public and Community Health Studies. I have always had a keen interest in health promotion work and I’m hoping to go into that area when I leave Uni.

I am currently on placement, co-ordinating the Student's Union's SECS (sexual education, campaigning and support) clinic. As the co-ordinator I have tried to find ways to develop and improve the clinic, which is when I got involved with junction49. Both Faye and I created and co-ordinate the sexual health outreach project ‘Sexy Fun’ – a project that focuses on being safe, but having fun!
We have just done our first event – on Valentines night at the students union. We are still buzzing from it, it went down really well. We played some games with students and gave out some sexual health info. We also gave out almost 500 condoms and nearly 200 sachets of lube. Good times!!
We are hoping to do another one before the end of term – but with deadlines etc we will just have to see. Will keep you posted.
