Beatbullying provides on the ground bullying prevention work for young people across the UK.. We believe that bullying prevention, over intervention, is the only way that we can truly reduce incidents of bullying which blight the lives of our young people.
Everyday, we are out in schools and communities across the country, working directly with thousands of young people, helping them to devise and develop their own anti-bullying strategies, focusing on ‘peer to peer’ education and empowering young people to take action against incidents of bullying and help others combat the problem.
We know the most effective way of tackling bullying is to engage young people and listen to their opinions on the problem. As a result, our bullying prevention strategies are developed by young people for young people.
75% of young people are bullied.
450,000 children are bullied every day at school. Our prevention programmes are shown to reduce this by as much as 80% in our most succesful schools.
20,000 kids skip school everyday because of bullying; we can reduce this too.
